We are living in unprecedented times of climate chaos and ecological uncertainty. Yet within this crisis lies a profound invitation to reconnect with ancient wisdom that honors our interdependence with the Earth. Sacred Alignment weaves together the transformative practices of classical yoga with the life-giving principles of Andean cosmovision, creating a bridge between embodied movement and indigenous wisdom.
This unique 4-week journey merges the physical, mental, and spiritual practices of yoga with the profound teachings of Andean cosmology. Through guided breathwork, movement meditations, and critical reflection, you’ll discover how ancestral concepts of reciprocity, balance, and collective well-being can guide us toward a more harmonious relationship with ourselves, each other, and the living Earth.
What You’ll Experience
A two part 180 minute workshop. Each 90-minute session thoughtfully combines:
– Critical Reflection: Cine-forum style discussions connecting Andean worldviews with contemporary ecological and political realities, supported by ethnographic research and decolonial perspectives
– Embodied Practice: Purpose-designed yoga sequences that transform indigenous wisdom into lived, felt experiences through breathwork, movement, and meditation
– Group Discussion and Guided Reflexion
Weekly Journey
Week 1 – Climate Crisis & Grounding (Earth Element) > Discover grounding practices for navigating uncertainty through Hatha yoga and foundational Andean concepts
Week 2 – Reciprocity (Ayni) as Life’s Foundation (Sun Element) > Explore sacred reciprocity through energizing Ashtanga sequences that embody this core Andean principle
Week 3 – Cyclical Energy Flows (Water Element) > Flow with the rhythms of giving and receiving through balanced Vinyasa practice, reflecting water’s continuous cycle
Week 4 – Sumak Kawsay: Good Living (Life Energy) > Integrate the Andean vision of collective well-being through restorative yoga and deep reflection
